The Kills recently did a cover of the Velvet Undergrounds song Pale Blue Eyes for Levis Pioneer sessions. It is obviously amazing, which is no surprise. Anything Velvet Underground related in usually excellent. This is just especially excellent because you can download it for FREE!

I have just discovered some perfectly wonderful and fabulous news involving TWO of some of my favorite things:

1) Drop Dead Fred

2) Russell Brand

Yes thats right, their re-making Drop Dead Fred and playing the tip-top role will be Russell Brand.

To say im excited would be an understatement. I think i might explode.

EDIE SEDGWICK (from the Ciao! Manhattan tapes): I think drugs are like strawberries. That was something I was very much a part of, but at the same time there's that incredible nightmare paranoia... it drives human beings crazy. It frightened me to see it around me...I had everything that could be moved stolen by speed freaks. Things began to disappear. The Queen Bee Speedfreaks and Amphetamine Annie had found out where my apartment was. All my jewelry was stolen and all my expensive clothes. Dior, Balenciaga... just tons of originals. By the way have you heard anything about my furs? Everyone's wearing them.
